Stepping off from the start/finish at the Solvang Shoe store, you immediately notice the area's charm.

Soon you come to Hans Christian Andersen Park, which includes this bust of the famed author.

Mission Santa Inez is still an active Catholic parish.  Sunday Mass was being celebrated as this snapshot was taken.

Most of the rest of the walk is through the surrounding countryside.  Solvang is in the distance across the Santa Ynez River.  The route climbs through a residential area overlooking a golf course.

After several of our group walks, members have ate lunch together at the German restaurant just to the list of this windmill.

Leaving the mission and coming back to Alisal Road, you come upon the windmill at Molle Way.  This structure was featured on our 2001 Pooter Patch.

This creek bed was dry that day.  While there may be running water in the winter and spring, it is always dry in the summer.
