City Information: |
Halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, Morro Bay is located on the
Central Coast of California, just a few miles west of the 101 Freeway and on the
picturesque Highway 1. When you arrive in Morro Bay, the first things you notice
are the landmark, Morro Rock, and beautiful Morro Bay. Morro Bay resembles a quaint New England fishing village with it's commercial fishing fleet and many private boats. Along the waterfront is the Embarcadero, full of unique shops, outstanding restaurants, and a collection of local art galleries. A variety of motels and inns, from the economical to the luxurious, also sit along the waterfront with fantastic views of the Bay, Morro Rock and dynamic sunsets over the Pacific horizon.
